Working within the Elections & Local Land Charges Team, this busy role will provide efficient and effective administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the electoral registration process and elections, referenda and polls within the district, as well as assisting with the maintenance of local land charges searches required as part of the housing market process.
You will need to have good customer skills to engage with other Officers, Councillors and external stakeholders. The ability to work both in a team and using initiative to work independently is also expected. A good general education, including GCSE English Language and Maths (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent qualification is required as well as having the right skills and aptitude for the role.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be based primarily in the office with remote working when this suits the business needs. The post holder will work outside usual office hours for periods of the year pre and post elections. This is likely to be between 6 to 8 weeks at a time.
People who are employed through an employment agency to carry out work at HDC may apply for internal vacancies.
