We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Tower Behavioral Health, a leading provider of acute healthcare services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions through personalized care that may include psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication management, and hospitalization when necessary.
The position will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients' mental and emotional health, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure the medical stability of patients. Tower Behavioral Health is a 144 bed, advanced, innovative facility located in Reading, Pennsylvania. Our state-of-the-art hospital provides comprehensive treatment for adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addiction. At Tower Behavioral Health, our evidence-based treatment solutions are tailored to improve the well-being of those we care for. Our treatment center offers programs to address general psychiatric diagnoses, mood disorders, and dual diagnosis concerns, through which we are able to provide targeted treatment to address the specific needs of each individual.
Full Time Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist Responsibilities:- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
- Board certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
