Harbor is seeking a Senior Director to lead the UK/EMEA region within the Law Firm Finance Systems consulting Solution Line. This role is accountable for portfolio oversight, client satisfaction, and operational excellence across all UK/EMEA engagements. The Senior Director will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with minimal write-offs by removing obstacles and enabling the team to succeed, rather than personally executing work. This is a leadership and coordination role, not a hands-on consulting position.

As a senior leader, the Senior Director will contribute to business development, offering strategy, and financial planning, while managing a team of Directors and Senior Managers with technical and/or functional expertise. This hiring team will consider candidates with experience in consulting, vendor, or in a law firm environment with a focus on legal technology (with a preference for financial systems). The position reports directly to the Managing Director and is highly client-facing. This position can be worked from anywhere in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Own the UK/EMEA portfolio of Finance Systems projects, ensuring delivery quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor project health, proactively address risks, and minimize write-offs.
  • Client Relationship Leadership
  • Act as the senior point of contact for clients, ensuring issues are resolved through the team rather than direct intervention.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and uphold Harbor’s reputation for excellence.
  • Operational Leadership
  • Clear hurdles and roadblocks for consultants and people managers to enable exceptional delivery.
  • Ensure proper resource allocation and utilization across projects for efficiency and profitability.
  • Drive adherence to best practices and delivery standards.
  • Team Management
  • Lead and mentor Directors and Senior Managers, fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and client-first thinking.
  • Strategic Contribution
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal creation and client presentations.
  • Contribute to service line growth strategy and financial planning.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a consulting, vendor, or law firm environment with a focus on legal technology. Financial systems experience (3E/Elite, Aderant, etc) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing large portfolios and client relationships in complex environments.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong client relationship and communication abilities.
  • Ability to resolve issues through coordination and delegation, not hands-on technical work.
  • Financial acumen for managing budgets, profitability, and resource utilization.
