Project Manager Team Lead (Legal Financial Systems)
Location: UK – London (remote available). This is a full‑time role in the Legal Technology and Operations Department.
Overview
Harbor is seeking a Project Manager Team Lead to oversee client engagements, manage up to three Project Managers, and deliver legal software projects on time, within budget, and in scope.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
Lead and manage cross‑functional project teams using Harbor Project Management tools.
Collaborate with clients to define scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and alignment with client expectations.
Track progress, manage resources, and report milestones to stakeholders.
Coordinate documentation such as project charter, status reports, and meeting notes.
Proactively identify and address risks to ensure timely resolution.
Monitor and update work‑in‑progress, measuring milestones against actual work.
Client Engagement and Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships.
Manage expectations and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
Address concerns and escalations promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Manage and develop Project Manager team members and enforce Harbor project‑management standards.
Act as an escalation point as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to promote collaboration.
Resource and Risk Management
Schedule assignments and track tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.
Provide direction and support to the team.
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to manage them.
Resolve escalations in a timely and professional manner.
Budget Management
Keep projects on budget, review invoices and timecards, and address client inquiries about invoicing.
Provide timely budget utilization updates to clients.
Scope Management
Ensure deliverables meet the Statement of Work (SOW) scope.
Apply strict change‑management guidelines to tasks not defined in the original SOW.
Participate in requirement discussions and document approvals.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
Project management experience implementing Aderant Expert/Elite 3E.
Four‑year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Proficiency with collaboration and project tracking tools.
3+ years of experience with legal services or legal software industry.
Problem‑solving, customer‑focus, communication, collaboration, organizational support, quality focus, and punctuality are essential skills.
Authorized to work in the UK without restriction or sponsorship.
