Responsibilities include developing a therapeutic relationship with and providing appropriate guidance and supervision to children and teenagers receiving treatment. Essential functions are as follows:
- Implement program to help residents learn acceptable behaviours.
- Supervise residents’ attainment of treatment goals.
- Maintain a positive normative culture.
- Rotate every other weekend with Senior Lead Residential staff.
- Utilize established mechanisms to enhance communication.
- Assist in staffing needs of the facility.
- Adhere to all supervision responsibilities related to monitoring.
- Assist with the supervision and accountability of unit staff.
- Ensure coordination and completion of all documentation related to resident care.

Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old, have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field with coursework in Psychology and Child and Adolescent Development is preferred. Experience working with children and adolescents is preferred. Required to rotate weekends with Senior Lead staff. Previous experience working in a residential or psychiatric setting with children and adolescents is preferred. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have a valid driver’s license.
