Join to apply for the Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health role at Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center. This is a Full-Time position, with shifts available in the evenings from 3-11pm or nights from 7p-7a (rotating weekends).

Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential treatment services within a secure setting. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 11-17 who are experiencing emotional, psychiatric, and educational difficulties. In addition to our general psychiatric programs, we also offer specialty programs for youth with more serious challenges. Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities. We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia Department of Education. We are a TRICARE approved and certified facility.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
  • Must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or have a multi-state license
  • Prefer experience with children and adolescents in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program. New Nurses will be considered.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of risk factors for violence and determining potential for violent acting out and ability to assess suicidal/homicidal ideations.
  • Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts and programs as necessary, ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information.
