Harbor is looking to add a Clinical Manager to our Defiance clinical services team. This individual oversees all clinical aspects of services for an assigned team(s). Manages, directs, and leads the treatment services provided, provides administrative and clinical supervision, and provides direct clinical services based on client and agency need. Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in mental health field
- Experience in Management or Clinical Supervision
- Must have or obtain within 90 days of employment an Ohio independent license (e.g., LISW, LPCC)
- Must have and/or obtain within 15 months of employment licensure with supervisory endorsement
- Must demonstrate competence in all aspects of the clinical service areas and population(s) assigned and supervising, private and public insurance, and an understanding of health care business management
- If responsible for chemical dependency service areas, area of competency must include chemical dependency treatment and supervision as evidenced by holding a chemical dependency license or documented on a MH License disclosure statement
- Must be a team player, honest, self-motivated, and organized
- Excellent leadership and communication skills required
- Able to effectively supervise, provide patient focused services and motivate staff to achieve maximum results
- Ability to excel in both community and hospital-based environments
- Able to work successfully with interdisciplinary teams
- Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and be deemed insurable under Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier
- Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word
- Required to obtain Health Officer certification within 6 months of employment
- CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:
- Exhibits leadership and team-building skills to promote a Patient-Accountable culture among the team, among the department, and across the agency
- Demonstrates leadership and supervision skills that lead to acceptable/expected levels of productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of team members in providing excellent care to clients
- Works in coordination with other Clinical Managers, Clinical Coordinators and Physician Led Patient Centered Teams to ensure coverage of services, supervision, and crisis support across teams and programs
- Trains staff, manages, coordinates, evaluates, and supervises all operations for assigned clinical staff and treatment services
- Provides personnel management functions for all assigned staff including supervision, annual evaluations, involvement in hiring, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Any disciplinary action involving time off without pay or termination requires coordination/consultation with the Clinical Director and Human Resources
- Provides group supervision for persons seeking higher licensure
- Serves as consultant and supervisor for Duty to Protect and manages incident reports according to agency policy
- Assists in innovation, development, implementation, and evaluation of services, including outcome and grant reporting
- Participates in staff meetings, serves on committees as appointed, and is actively involved in continuing education and professional organizations as appropriate
- Provides direct services as budgeted – and as indicated by client, team, program, or staff needs
