We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Business Systems Architect to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation. This role requires strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, and excellent communication and negotiation skills to build lasting relationships with business stakeholders, application owners, and software vendors. You will support the design and implementation of IT solutions, translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, and ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization’s IT strategy and architecture standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable technical requirements.
- Support the development and documentation of technical designs for IT solutions, considering various factors like technology, security, performance, and cost.
- Provide design direction to development teams throughout the implementation process.
- Support and enhance the IT governance framework, chairing the enterprise design authority and supporting programme level design authorities.
- Conduct regular evaluations of the system architecture and collaborate with project management teams to improve/enhance designs.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with proposed solutions and propose alternative solutions or risk mitigations.
- Create and manage IT system integration processes to meet the organisation’s needs.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and approaches to identify the best solutions for specific problems.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of various technologies, including cloud computing, ERP (SAP/Oracle), CRM (Salesforce), Databricks, Power BI, and application development.
- Experience in large-scale, international IT environments, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and geographies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Ability to balance innovation with reliability, scalability, and maintainability in complex industrial contexts.
- Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to lead discussions with business stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

- Knowledge of industrial IT/OT integration (e.g., MES, SCADA, IoT) and awareness of cybersecurity risks in industrial environments.
