Labcorp is seeking a remote Principal IT Project Manager to join our team in the UK.
Work Schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Budget & Resource Management: Define resource needs, allocate staff, and track expenditures to keep projects within budget.
- Strategic Planning & Documentation: Develop detailed project plans, define tasks, and generate documentation for requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of technical subject matter experts, internal business and IT leadership, and external vendors providing regular status reports.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential issues and implement corrective action plans.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with sourcing and procurement and external vendors for procurement and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Information Technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification.
Additional Job Standards:
- Extensive professional experience in IT project management or infrastructure roles.
- Strong communication, leadership, technical proficiency skills (e.g., virtualization, cloud platforms, construction), and proficiency in MS Office.
- Data center installation, network upgrades, and cloud migration experience desirable.
- Experience with managing large scale, international infrastructure related projects, including facility expansions, site relocations preferred.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Conduct regular status meetings and present progress reports to leadership.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business language for stakeholders.
