Duties and Responsibilities
- Global HR Partnering: Focus areas include Talent Management, Succession Planning, Change Management, Culture Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Leadership Development, M&A, Workforce Planning, Organizational Design, Employee Engagement, and Executive Coaching.
- Lead and execute complex change initiatives aligned with strategic business goals, fostering a culture of empowerment and using standard LabCorp methodologies.
- Champion a culture of talent development by implementing effective development plans and feedback mechanisms to build a diverse and sustainable leadership pipeline.
- Design and deploy workforce strategies focused on critical capabilities grounded in deep business insight and long-term organizational needs.
- Provide strategic coaching and counsel to business leaders, offering candid feedback to enhance leadership effectiveness and drive alignment with LabCorp's values and performance goals.
- Enhance leadership effectiveness through diagnosing team dynamics, building trust, and identifying development solutions that improve employee growth and engagement.
- Apply internal and external business insights to shape HR strategies that strengthen business performance and organizational outcomes.
- Diagnose business needs and deliver targeted HR interventions that support the execution of business strategies and improve operational effectiveness.
Local (UK) HR activity
- Serve as the primary HR contact for select UK sites, partnering with site leadership and HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) on key initiatives such as crisis management, employee engagement, policy development, and employment law compliance.
- Collaborate with local leaders to design and implement site-specific inclusion and belonging initiatives.
- Lead and support ad hoc and strategic local HR projects in partnership with business leaders.
- Coordinate with compensation teams, benefits providers, HR technology teams, insurers, and government authorities on a range of initiatives.
- Work closely with CoEs to support the rollout of HR system enhancements across Europe and assist line managers with effective adoption.
- Partner with Data Protection teams to ensure GDPR compliance across the UK and Europe.
- Collaborate with Employee Relations to support reduction-in-force initiatives and develop strategies aimed at reducing site-level absence costs.
- Advise CoEs on UK employee benefits and governmental reporting obligations; provide required documentation for audits or regulatory reviews.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree is required; Master's a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an HR position; at least 2 years in an HR business partnering role.
- Prior experience as a business partner in a shared service / COE model is strongly preferred.
- Experience with a European Works Council preferred (Germany required).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Additional knowledge of European laws preferred or interest in learning.
- Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and using metrics to guide decision-making.
- Proficient in HR technology platforms, particularly Workday or equivalent systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required; Master's is a plus.
- Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

- Demonstrated leadership skills which include the ability to effectively influence at all levels within the company.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently or in a team environment; comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in German preferred but not essential.
Working Conditions
- May require UK wide / European travel; home based in the UK.
