Are you a current or previous Home Office personal licence holder?

Do you have previous or current experience as an Animal Technician?

Then we are looking for you!

Labcorp is recruiting for a Training Officer at our Harrogate site. The main purpose of this role is to support staff involved with live animal work through training. The training officer will develop training materials, deliver training, and assess competence in Laboratory Animal Technologies. They will also support the development and implementation of new procedures, techniques, and technologies.

The responsibilities include:

  • Providing classroom, group, and on-the-job training
  • Identifying training needs and creating training materials and lesson plans
  • Developing new techniques and supporting competency development
  • Monitoring training records
  • Managing onboarding for new hires, including weekend staff
  • Supporting delivery of IAT qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Home Office personal licence
  • Practical and technical skills in an animal house environment
  • Experience in a similar role (beneficial but not mandatory)
  • Teamwork and autonomous working abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
