About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded Deal Desk to join our team. The Deal Desk sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, contract execution, and financial modeling. We seek someone with rigorous analytical discipline combined with practical, growth-stage commercial creativity. This is not a traditional sales support function nor a passive advisory role. You will be an active co-architect of our most complex enterprise deals, ensuring contracts are winnable, deliverable, economically sound, and contractually secure.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with account executives as the commercial lead on complex enterprise deals, acting as a strategic peer rather than back-office support.
• Participate directly in external, client-facing commercial conversations where negotiations require credibility beyond the standard sales relationship.
• Translate HappyRobot's commercial framework into custom deal structures aligned with a specific customer's buying context, constraints, and dynamics.
• Serve as an internal check on deals that appear favorable but may carry hidden friction; flag contractual or economic risks before closure or implementation.
• Author deal documentation and contract language that bridges problem-solving with contractual precision.

Must Have

• Deep understanding of how a deal must be structured for mutually beneficial economics.
• Ability to comprehend complex contracts quickly, discern what is legally committed to, and author precise commercial language.
• Ability to model upside, downside, margins, and compute economics for complex deal structures.

Nice to Have

• Experience owning commercial contracts and transactions (not litigation).
• Experience in transaction structuring and financial modeling.
• Experience owning operations from business development, sales operations, and commercial structuring at a growth-stage company.
• Background in technical implementation with understanding of delivery economics and corporate finance.
