Positive Futures supports people with learning disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries, empowering them to live independently and achieve their dreams through dedicated, personalised support. About the Role

As a Support Worker, your role is to support people to live the life they want-promoting independence, choice, dignity, and meaningful community engagement as part of a dedicated team. You\’ll receive a full, paid induction and ongoing training to learn how best to support each person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships and deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with each person\’s support plan.
  • Enable independent living: assist with domestic tasks, healthy meal preparation, medication and finances, benefits, and accessing the right services (e.g. Social Worker, GP, Dentist).
  • Promote choice, informed decision-making, and self-advocacy; support participation in social, leisure, volunteering, training and employment opportunities.
  • Safeguard health, safety and wellbeing; recognise and elevate risks in line with policies and the Risk Management Framework.
  • Maintain accurate records and use ICT systems (e.g. rota, HR, care/support planner systems) effectively.

What You\’ll Bring

Essential

  • Personal or work experience providing care or support (this can include caring for a child/family member/friend, volunteering, or placements where you provided care or support).
  • Full, valid driving licence and access to a car insured for business purposes (Class 2 business insurance); or a full, valid driving licence or the ability to travel independently to meet the needs of the role.
  • Basic digital skills to record notes and use rota/HR/care systems.

Desirable

  • Experience in health, social care or community-based support.

Hours & Location

  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (part-time and relief opportunities may also be available).
  • Location: Fermanagh.

Salary & Benefits

  • £23,874 – £25,027 per annum (Pay Points 1-3) / Relief Support Worker £12.21 per hour. Salaries shown are based on full-time hours (pro-rata for part-time).
  • Holidays: 28-33 days per holiday year (including designated days).
  • Pension: Contributory scheme – employer 4% (eligible staff) alongside your 5%.
  • Training & Support: Paid induction, regular 1:1s, team development, and access to specialist and accredited training.
  • NISCC Registration: Initial fee paid on joining; annual fee covered for eligible staff after three years\’ service.
