Charity Jobs NI is exclusively partnering with Positive Futures to recruit multiple dedicated, experienced and compassionate Senior Support Workers in Fermanagh. About Positive Futures
Positive Futures supports people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and autism. Wonderful things can and do happen when people get the right support, at the right time, from the right people.
About the Role
You’ll provide outstanding, person-centred support and act as a strong role model-mentoring, coaching and supervising staff so best practice is embedded across the service. You’ll receive a full, paid induction and ongoing training, work as part of a dedicated team, and help coordinate support so each person is empowered to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support in line with each person\’s person-centred portfolio/behaviour support plan; hold coordinator responsibilities and lead reviews with families and key partners.
 - Safeguard health, safety and wellbeing; uphold Adult Safeguarding and Risk Management policies; model safe and effective practice for others.
 - Promote independence, choice and active citizenship-supporting community participation, relationships, holidays and everyday decision-making.
 - Develop daily living skills (home management, healthy meals, medication, finances, benefits, appointments) and link people with the right services.
 - Lead shifts; induct, mentor and coach staff (including PBS/stress & coping plans); deliver regular person-centred supervision; chair/participate in team and statutory meetings.
 - Maintain accurate records (medication, finance, incidents, risk, behaviours), use ICT systems confidently, and oversee H&S checks and finance audits.
 - Work to Positive Futures\’ Mission, Values and Code of Conduct; maintain NISCC registration and complete required learning and development.
 
What You\’ll Bring
Essential
- At least 6 months\’ paid experience supporting people in a health & social care or community setting.
 - Experience leading a shift or acting as a key worker, including supervising colleagues and coordinating reviews/plans.
 - Confident use of digital systems for records, rota, medication logs and incident reporting.
 - Experience working to Positive Behaviour Support (e.g., stress & coping or PBS plans).
 - Effective oversight of paperwork and processes in your work environment.
 - QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). * Consideration given to applicants willing to undertake the qualification within an agreed timeframe.
 
Desirable
- Additional experience using person-centred thinking tools and approaches.
 
Hours & Location
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week.
 - Location: Fermanagh.
 
Salary & Benefits
- £25,500 – £27,500 per annum (Pay Points 1-5; full-time equivalent). Pro-rata for part-time.
 - Holidays: 28-33 days\’ paid holiday per year (including designated days).
 - Pension: Contributory scheme – employer 4% (eligible staff) alongside your 5%.
 - Training & Support: Paid induction, regular 1:1s, team development and access to specialist/accredited training; clear career development pathways.
 - NISCC Registration: Initial registration fee paid on joining; annual fee covered after three years\’ service (eligible staff).
