About the Roles: Vocational IT Tutor As a Vocational IT Tutor, you will deliver NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications in IT, supporting learners in developing both practical and theoretical skills essential for their career growth. You may also occasionally deliver Essential Skills IT at Levels 1 and 2, providing well-rounded support to learners. This role requires travel across Northern Ireland, so a full, clean driving licence is essential. IT Essential Skills Tutor As an IT Essential Skills Tutor, you will deliver Essential Skills IT qualifications at Levels 1 and 2, helping learners develop fundamental IT skills necessary for both academic and professional success. You will work with a diverse range of learners, supporting them through their studies and ensuring they achieve their full potential. We welcome applications from individuals who may not have formal teaching experience but have a strong IT background and a passion for mentoring and education. Full support and training will be provided to successful candidates. Key Responsibilities: For the Vocational IT Tutor: Deliver NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications in IT, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences. Conduct workplace assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners and employers. Support and mentor learners throughout their training journey, ensuring successful outcomes. Participate in enrolment, progress monitoring, and assessment processes. Maintain high standards of documentation, including assessment plans, learner portfolios, and progress reviews. For the IT Essential Skills Tutor: Deliver Essential Skills IT at Levels 1 and 2, tailoring lessons to suit individual learning needs. Provide one-on-one and group support to learners to ensure understanding and progress. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage learners from diverse backgrounds. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results. Ensure compliance with educational standards and organisational policies. Requirements: To be considered for either role, candidates should meet the following criteria: A degree in IT or a relevant qualification, with IT comprising at least 50% of the subject studied. Strong IT proficiency, including experience with MS Office and e-learning platforms. A passion for IT and a desire to mentor and support learners. GCSE (Grade A*-C) or equivalent in English and Maths. A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Northern Ireland. Exceptional communication, organisational, and time management skills. Desirable (but not essential): Experience delivering NVQs or vocational qualifications in IT. A teaching qualification, such as a Level 4 Certificate in Teaching or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards one. Achievement of an A1 Assessor's Award or willingness to pursue this qualification. The Package: Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience. Location: We are open to speaking with IT Tutors based across Northern Ireland. However, we are particularly keen to hear from individuals located in the Antrim and Mid Ulster areas.
