On behalf of a premium motor brand, we are recruiting a General Manager to lead its rental division. Operating across Mallusk and Dungannon, the business offers a market-leading range of commercial vehicles. We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable leader to oversee the day-to-day operations and drive performance across the business. The role will focus on improving efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maximising profitability through effective leadership and strategic initiatives.

The General Manager will be responsible for:

  • Independently manage and develop a customer-focused, profitable business unit
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and ongoing growth of the business
  • Manage all vehicle transactions with strong product knowledge and attention to detail
  • Lead customer engagement and provide effective sales solutions
  • Generate new business through canvassing, prospecting, and promoting contract hire
  • Manage and grow relationships across both new and existing client accounts
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to maintain high performance standards
  • Take full responsibility for achieving business unit KPIs
  • Ensure excellent customer experience through clear and effective communication
  • Manage insurance claims
  • Authorise and control vehicle maintenance spend within budget
  • Complete month-end duties including invoicing and closure processes

What you will need to have for the General Manager role:

  • Demonstrable senior management experience within the motor industry
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven record of exceeding KPIs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-driven leader with the ability to motivate and improve team performance
  • Proven experience in managing stakeholder and customer relationships
  • Confident in cold calling, both in person and over the phone
  • Extensive customer-facing experience with a strong track record in relationship building
