We are currently working alongside an established M and E business to recruit a Contracts Manager FM (Trainee) to join their team on a permanent basis. The job is based in Newtownabbey. This is the perfect opportunity for FM professionals to gain expertise in Contracts Management and develop their skill set.
Contracts Manager FM (Trainee) will be responsible for:
- Supporting the day to day management of FM contracts, ensuring KPIs and service levels are met
- Preparing reports, proposals, costings, and maintaining accurate contract records
- Coordinating subcontractors and assisting with procurement activities
- Building and maintaining positive client and stakeholder relationships
- Attending meetings, preparing packs, reports, and minutes, and supporting issue resolution
- Scheduling and monitoring maintenance tasks, liaising with site teams for safe, efficient delivery
- Tracking job progress and updating CAFM systems accurately
- Assisting with compliance checks, audits, SLA monitoring, and quality assurance
- Supporting budgeting, quotes, cost tracking, and commercial reporting
- Participating in structured training and mentoring to develop into an FM Contracts Manager
What you will need to have for the Contracts Manager FM (Trainee) role:
- GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths (Essential)
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook (Essential)
- Experience in administrative, coordination, customer service, or office-based roles (Essential)
- Managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment (Essential)
- Communicating effectively, both written and verbally (Essential)
- Completing further education in business, engineering, facilities management, or related field would be desirable but not essential
- Undertaking IOSH or other basic health & safety training desirable but not essential
- Applying knowledge of Facilities Management or building services (Desirable)
- Using CAFM systems (Desirable)
- Supporting contract administration or operational Skills: FM, Help Desk, Customer Service
