We are excited to be recruiting for a newly created position of Management Accountant based in Craigavon. The role is permanent and part-time, offering 30 hours per week, ideal for a qualified accountant seeking a rewarding role with flexibility and variety. The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis, and insightful commentary.
  • Conducting regular reviews of both debtors and creditors to maintain strong cash flow and financial controls.
  • Monitoring business performance by identifying trends, analysing variances, and compiling accurate financial reports.
  • Reviewing production costs and evaluating product profitability to support decision-making.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and monthly budget reviews.
  • Supporting the statutory audit process at year-end.
  • Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards and tax regulations, including VAT.
  • Assisting with grant applications and reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and internal controls and taking the lead on implementation.
  • Leading and participating in ad hoc finance projects as required.

What you need to have for the Management Accountant role:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience; industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong track record of preparing and delivering accurate month-end accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and planning abilities.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
