We are currently working with an established manufacturer based in Lisburn to recruit for a Payroll Officer to join the finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work as part of a team.

As a Payroll Officer, you will manage the timely and accurate processing of multiple high-volume payrolls, delivering a responsive and proactive service while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. There is an attractive salary and benefits package on offer for this role.

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:

  • Managing the delivery and processing of multiple high-volume payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Providing an efficient, responsive and proactive payroll service, managing queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Producing payroll reports and supporting month-end reconciliations, audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Administering pensions, auto-enrolment and statutory payments, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation.
  • Supporting payroll administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including new starters, changes and leavers.
  • Maintaining time and attendance records, annual leave and absence reporting.
  • Liaising with external providers and supporting annual payroll and benefits activities.

What you will need to have for the Payroll Officer role:

  • Minimum of two years’ payroll experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and pension administration.
  • Experience using payroll, HR and time and attendance systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and confidential approach, with experience in manufacturing/FMCG environments and knowledge of PAMS or North Time Data systems considered advantageous.
