We are working with an award winning FMCG client to recruit for a HR Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role to support the HR Manager. The HR Officer role is permanent and based in Craigavon. The HR Officer position provides a strong foundation for a HR professional to build on their skills, expand their experience, and progress their career while growing within the organisation.

The HR Officer will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with employee relations matters, including addressing queries, managing grievances, and supporting disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensuring HR records are kept up to date and compliant with internal policies and current employment legislation.
  • Producing regular HR reports and insights to guide strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Supporting payroll processes.
  • Managing the company training matrix and coordinating the timely renewal of mandatory training and certifications.
  • Supporting the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process, helping to attract and retain top talent.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in employment law and contributing to the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Handling sensitive colleague information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

What you’ll need to succeed in the HR Officer role:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a generalist HR position.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law, HR best practices, and social value initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable and will be an advantage.
