We are excited to be recruiting for a newly created position of Cost/Project Accountant for a successful FMCG business based in Craigavon. The role is permanent and part-time, with a flexible working model. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for supporting financial management and strategy as well as business partnering with senior stakeholders.
The Cost/Project Accountant will be responsible for:
- Leading cost analysis and identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
- Collaboration with production and operational teams to track and optimize costs
- Delivering timely and accurate management accounts
- Providing insight on variances and trends to support strategic planning
- Supporting finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing costing models and supporting pricing decisions
- Ensuring compliance with financial controls and policies
What we are looking for in a Cost/Project Accountant:
- A qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA) or qualified by experience with strong manufacturing experience
- Proven track record in cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Ability to interpret and present financial data, statistics, and trends
- A strong pro-active approach and active in finding solutions
- Excellent attention to detail with a commercial mindset
