We are seeking a Nursery Room Leader to work in a nursery in Astwick. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 childcare qualification alongside experience as a practitioner or room leader.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and participate in activities that stimulate children's and babies' interests, taking into account the Equal Opportunities policy and issues of diversity.
- Develop and celebrate diversity within the local community through skills and knowledge of books and play materials.
- Work independently on your initiative, with support from the Manager and Directors.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and external agencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Supervise and delegate staff appropriately, adhering to legislation requirements.
- Maintain routines and respond flexibly to service demands.
- Support the smooth running of the nursery, including taking pride in the environment.
- Promote equal opportunities and prioritize safeguarding and the well-being of children at all times.
- Support and advise team members, ensuring good relations with staff, volunteers, students, and parents.
- Ensure a safe, emotionally, and psychologically secure environment for children and visitors.
