We are seeking a Nursery Room leader for the baby room. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 childcare qualification alongside experience as a practitioner or room leader.
Responsibilities
- To plan and prepare all staff to learn as well as participate in activities that stimulate the interest of the children and the babies.
- It is crucial to take the Equal Opportunities policy as well as any issues of diversity into account.
- An awareness of how skills and knowledge of books and all of the play materials in the nursery environment develop and celebrate diversity amongst the children within the local community.
- To work independently on their own initiative at times with the support of the Manager and Directors.
- The ability to communicate both verbally as well as in writing form with the children, parents and external agencies.
- Able to supervise and delegate staff appropriately, with the awareness of legislation requirements.
- Maintaining routines is essential.
- To work flexibly in response to service demands.
- To respond to reasonable requests and carry out duties as requested for the smooth running of the nursery.
- To take pride in our environment.
- Encourage equal opportunities and concentrate on the Safeguarding and well-being of the children at all times.
- To support and advise the rest of the team ensuring that management maintain good relations with all staff, including volunteers, students and parents.
