We are seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to work full time. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 2 qualification in a UK recognised early years qualification. We’re looking for a full time Nursery Practitioner to work 40 hours (fully flexible).
Main Duties:
- Liaising with parents/carers as appropriate
- Implementation and delivery of the EYFS.
- Participate in professional development and training.
- Share good practice with other childcare practitioners, display exemplary behaviour and act as a role model.
- Provide high quality care and activities for children which recognise both individual and group requirements in a secure, safe and stimulating environment.
- Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourages creativity, development, co-ordination, independence, self-expression, and learning through play.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EYFS framework (including the Safeguarding & Welfare Requirements), for guidance in your practice.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers, recognising that parents are their children’s first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery.
- Be aware of Safeguarding issues and follow the nursery’s Safeguarding procedures.
- Ensure close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns.
- Prepare and serve food and drinks for children, encouraging good nutrition and sociable eating.
- Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with potty training and other associated welfare duties.
- Carry out on-going cleaning of the nursery, toys and equipment.
- Fully comply with the nursery’s outings policy to ensure the safety of children outside nursery premises.
Requirements:
- A minimum of level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
