We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in conveyancing to provide effective secretarial and administrative support within a busy residential property department.
This is a particularly attractive opportunity for someone looking for a Legal Secretary position in Newtownards with a growing legal practice that can offer both a full-time working pattern and the flexibility of a four-day, 28-hour week. You will work closely with the firm's conveyancing solicitors, assisting with the administration and organisation of residential property files and helping to provide clients with an efficient and professional service throughout their property transaction.
Candidates may currently be working as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary, Residential Conveyancing Secretary, Property Legal Secretary, Legal PA or Legal Administrator. Whatever your current job title, previous conveyancing experience and a strong understanding of working within a legal environment will be key. Previous conveyancing experience is essential for this vacancy.
That said, the practice is continuing to expand, so candidates with experience in other areas of law are also encouraged to get in touch, as alternative current or upcoming legal support opportunities may be available.
Key Responsibilities
Support conveyancing solicitors with a broad range of secretarial and administrative duties. Assist with managing and maintaining residential conveyancing files from an administrative perspective. Prepare correspondence and legal documentation as required. Type and produce documentation from digital dictation. Assist with the general progression and administration of conveyancing matters.
Person Specification / About You To be considered for this Legal Secretary opportunity in Newtownards, you should be able to demonstrate: Previous conveyancing experience, ideally within residential property. Experience providing secretarial, administrative or legal support within a law firm or legal practice. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using digital dictation and electronic filing systems. If your legal experience is outside conveyancing, we would still welcome your application.
Conveyancing experience is essential for this specific role, but other suitable vacancies may be available within the practice as the firm continues to grow.
