The Role: Happy Jobs NI is delighted to be representing a well-established and respected training and education provider that delivers industry-recognised qualifications across retail, warehousing and logistics environments. Due to continued organisational growth and the onboarding of new employer clients, they are expanding their delivery team and are now looking to recruit a Retail & Warehousing Tutor. While full-time is preferred, candidates seeking a part-time opportunity are also encouraged to get in touch to discuss flexible working options.

This role is ideal for someone with strong occupational experience in retail, warehousing or logistics, such as a warehouse supervisor, retail manager, team leader, stock controller, Specialist Skills Trainer or in-house trainer, who enjoys developing others and sharing their industry knowledge. You don't need to be an experienced tutor to apply; however, previous experience as a tutor, trainer or assessor would be highly desirable. Candidates with experience training, mentoring or supervising staff within a retail or warehousing environment are strongly encouraged to apply, as full support and development can be provided.

The role involves delivering practical and theory-based training and assessment for vocational qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3, including supporting learners on funded apprenticeship programmes. You will play a key role in the delivery and ongoing support of apprentices and the apprenticeship scheme, working closely with employers to ensure learners progress successfully. Delivery will take place within branch locations, at employer premises and through online e-learning platforms. Travel across Northern Ireland is required, therefore a full clean driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver practical and theoretical training in retail and warehousing-related vocational qualifications.
  • Deliver and support apprenticeship programmes, acting as a key point of contact for apprentices and employers.
  • Deliver classroom-based, workplace-based and online training and assessment.
  • Assess learners' skills and knowledge, providing constructive one-to-one feedback to support progression.
  • Monitor apprentice progress in line with apprenticeship framework requirements.
  • Support learners in compiling and completing portfolios of evidence to awarding body standards.
  • Develop, implement and review individual learning plans tailored to varying abilities and learning needs.
  • Adapt learning resources to support learners with additional needs or barriers to learning.
  • Maintain accurate assessment paperwork, learner records and monitoring documentation.
  • Act as an academic and pastoral point of contact for learners.
  • Work closely with employer clients to support workforce development and upskilling.
  • Undertake additional duties appropriate to the level of responsibility of the role.

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
