As part of this continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary with previous conveyancing experience to join a busy residential property team and provide first-class secretarial and administrative support.

For an experienced Legal Secretary in Bangor, this is an opportunity to join a dynamic practice that is continuing to grow while also benefiting from a flexible approach to working hours. The role can be delivered on a traditional full-time basis or across four days per week, totalling 28 hours, for someone looking for a part-time opportunity.

You will work alongside experienced conveyancing solicitors and support the administration of residential property transactions, helping to keep files organised, documentation accurate and clients informed. Applications are welcomed from candidates currently working as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary, Residential Conveyancing Secretary, Property Legal Secretary, Legal PA, Legal Administrator or in a comparable legal support position. Previous conveyancing experience is essential for this role.

However, candidates with experience working in other departments within a law firm or legal practice should also consider applying. The practice is growing and there may be alternative current or upcoming opportunities that better match your background.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to conveyancing solicitors. Assist with managing the administrative aspects of residential conveyancing files. Open, update, organise and close client files. Draft and prepare correspondence and documentation. Produce accurate documents and correspondence using digital dictation. Answer and direct telephone calls and deal professionally with client enquiries. Liaise with clients and relevant third parties during property transactions.

Scan, print and e-file correspondence, documents and other legal records. Maintain accurate and well-organised electronic and paper files. Assist solicitors with general administration throughout residential conveyancing matters. Contribute to the efficient operation of the property team and delivery of a high standard of client service. Person Specification / About You We would welcome applications from candidates with: Previous conveyancing experience, ideally within residential conveyancing.

Legal secretarial, administrative or legal support experience. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Excellent attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A professional and client-focused approach. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Confidence using digital dictation, electronic documentation and filing systems. The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider legal team. A reliable, proactive and organised approach to supporting client matters. Candidates who have worked within a legal practice but do not have conveyancing experience are still encouraged to apply. Although previous conveyancing experience is essential for this vacancy, other current or upcoming roles within the growing practice may provide a better fit for your experience.
