Position: Part-time Nanny
Location: Muswell Hill, London N10
Salary: Up to £24,024 per annum
Schedule: 2 Days a week (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Start: 10th November 2026
A friendly family with a 9-month-old baby girl and a 3.5-year-old boy, based in Muswell Hill, N10, North London, are looking for an experienced, warm and proactive nanny to join them on a long-term basis for two days per week
This is a lovely opportunity for a nanny who enjoys caring for babies and young children and is looking to become a trusted and valued part of a family. The family would ideally love to find someone local or familiar with the area, although this is not essential. Above all, they are looking for someone who is kind, caring, engaging and reliable.
The Role
The nanny’s primary focus during the day will be the family’s baby, providing warm, attentive and developmentally focused sole-charge care. The nanny will plan age-appropriate activities and outings, such as local playgroups, trips to the park, baking, creative play and activities at home.
The role will also involve supporting the family’s older child with the morning routine and preschool drop-off and collection. He attends preschool full-time Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00am-4:30pm. The preschool is around a 10-minute drive from the family home or approximately a 20-minute walk through the local park, with a double buggy available. A fully insured family car is available for use during working hours, or the nanny may use their own car if preferred. Free on-street parking is also available.
During naps and quieter periods, the family would appreciate help with the children’s laundry, keeping the children’s and shared family areas organised and tidy, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and preparing healthy meals for the children. Preparing a simple family dinner will also form part of the role, so the nanny should be comfortable with straightforward family cooking.
The family employs a cleaner once a week, so there is no deep cleaning required. The light household support is intended to complement the childcare and help keep the children’s day running smoothly, rather than take away from the nanny’s primary focus on the children.
Occasional evening babysitting may be available by mutual agreement, although this is not a requirement of the role.
The Ideal Nanny
Above all, the family are hoping to find someone who genuinely loves working with babies and young children and will build a warm, secure relationship with both children.
They are looking for a nanny who is confident taking initiative, enjoys planning engaging and age-appropriate days, communicates well with parents and is dependable, punctual and organized.
The nanny should be comfortable combining excellent childcare with the light household support and cooking that naturally comes with keeping the children’s day running smoothly.
