Boys & Girls Nursery, Watford are seeking fun, enthusiastic and passionate practitioners to join our Flexible Supply Team!

What will you be doing:

  • As a member of our supply team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children in our care.
  • You will be responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment that fosters children’s development from birth-5.
  • If you’re a qualified practitioner or have previous experience working in early years, your passion for childcare, creativity, and dedication will make you an essential part of our team.
  • A pivotal part of the role will be your ability to plan and implement exciting learning opportunities for children, whilst ensuring your children’s interests and developmental stages are catered to, whilst also ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care.
  • You will collaborate effectively to maintain a clean, safe and organised nursery which has the children and families’ best interests at heart.
  • You will communicate effectively with our families when necessary, creating professional relationships and keeping them consistently informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Our ideal supply staff will have an evident passion for making a difference within the sector, with experience within a nursery or other relevant education/early years environment being essential.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and how to implement this effectively (or a willingness to complete training to upskill) with our children will be advantageous within the role.
  • An ability to plan meaningful and educational activities for our children.
  • Safeguarding our children is of the utmost importance at Happy Days, consequently you will show a strong commitment to well-being and safeguarding of all children in your care and take steps to ensure this is upheld consistently.
  • Experience with forming positive and professional relationships by communicating effectively with our children, parents and families will be essential.
  • While experience within a nursery setting and a level 2 or 3 qualification is highly advantageous, all candidates with experience working with children will be considered for this role.
