We are looking for an experienced and energetic Early Years Supervisor to join our team at our Falmouth Nursery in Cornwall. As Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of shaping the educational journey of our children, using our unique and innovative curriculum “Where Children Shine”, along with the EYFS requirements, to effectively observe, plan and assess each individual child.

About the role

  • Lead a well-established team in delivering high-quality care and education
  • Focus on promoting school readiness and fostering a love for learning
  • Play a crucial role in supporting the effective running of the nursery through efficient organisation
  • Plan and prioritise your work
  • Work as a team and lead a room team with several team members and manage your own key group of children
  • Ensure your room team provide quality, safe and stimulating environments
  • Lead by example using your valuable experience to provide guidance, support and mentorship to team members with empathy and care
  • Work closely with the management team to provide the best professional development opportunities for your team
  • Communicate effectively with our families, creating professional relationships and keeping them consistently informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing

Who we’re looking for

  • Is at least Level 3 qualified (preferably level 6) with a full and relevant Early Years Education or Childcare qualification
  • Has an evident passion for making a difference within early years practice and has relevant experience in supporting team members to make positive progress within their roles
  • Has proven experience leading a quality nursery room environment, and can demonstrate a strong understanding of working with our children
  • Has a track record of upholding established policies and procedures particularly around ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of our children and the health and safety of educational environments
