Happy Days is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our nursery team at Newquay.

As a Cleaner, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for the children and colleagues in our care.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children's health, safety and wellbeing by ensuring our nursery remains clean, welcoming and well maintained.

The Role

As a Cleaner, you'll help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery, ensuring all areas are safe, tidy and ready for children and staff.

You'll take pride in your work, pay close attention to detail and work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to support a clean and welcoming environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.
• Complete cleaning duties to the highest standards, paying close attention to detail.
• Ensure nursery areas are clean, safe, tidy and welcoming.
• Follow health and safety procedures and remain aware of potential hazards.
• Use cleaning equipment and resources appropriately and safely.
• Organise and plan cleaning duties to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
• Work flexibly and support the wider nursery team as required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and share relevant information.
• Take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to daily cleaning tasks.
• Help maintain a safe and hygienic environment that supports children's health and wellbeing.

We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and organised individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous cleaning experience.
• A strong awareness of health and safety and potential hazards.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to plan your own work.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
• A proactive, flexible and supportive approach to work.
