We are looking for a volunteer with experience in website migration and SEO to support the transfer of our existing Wix website (10–15 pages) to WordPress using Elementor, while preserving our current search rankings and visibility.
This role is critical in ensuring that the organisation does not lose its existing online visibility and reach during the transition to a more scalable platform. Your support will help maintain engagement, accessibility, and long-term growth.
What are we looking for?
- Experience with WordPress (especially Elementor)
- Understanding of SEO principles (on-page SEO, redirects, indexing)
- Experience with website migrations (Wix to WordPress or similar)
- Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console or similar (desirable)
- Ability to explain technical steps in a simple, practical way
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the migration of approximately 10–15 pages from Wix to WordPress (Elementor)
- Advising on best practices for transferring content without losing SEO value
- Setting up and/or guiding implementation of 301 redirects from old Wix URLs to new WordPress URLs
- Ensuring page structure, headings, metadata, and URLs are optimised during migration
- Reviewing on-page SEO elements (titles, descriptions, internal links)
- Supporting basic SEO continuity checks post-migration (e.g. indexing, crawlability)
