Engineer CNC in Luton

Job Description

Engineer – Up to £28,000 per annum – Luton (An Hourly/Day rate is an option if the successful candidate prefers this choice of payment)

A workshop engineer is actively sought to be based in Luton and able to offer an immediate start. Our client are a busy manufacturing company which design, manufacture, and install anything from a single component to complete earth stations for the Domestic, European and International Satellite industry. Currently they are at the beginning of an expansion plan which for the successful applicant can offer exceptional career progression.

Experience required

• Engineer with experience in offsetting and operating CNC Milling & Turning.
• Knowledge of Manual Milling and Tuning machines.
• Using Lathes
• Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience of Fanuc controls would be an advantage, but NOT essential.
• Worked within a machine shop environment, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
• Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running.

Personal criteria

• Full Driving Licence.
• Must be available to travel within the UK, Europe & Internationally on an ad hoc basis.

Business hours and benefits

• Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:15pm. Friday 8:00am to 1.00pm.

• Full access to company vehicle when on installations. Subsidies and expenses offered in line with overnight stays.
