This is a rare opportunity to combine public affairs, commercial strategy and operational delivery in a fast-growing, purpose-driven business.

Market Development Manager: Role Overview

As Market Development Manager, you will

Build and manage lasting relationships with key city stakeholders and local ecosystems, including public transport authorities, city administrators, associations and partner organisations, acting as the main point of contact for city stakeholders.

Evaluate new market entry opportunities, assessing commercial viability, regulatory readiness and strategic fit, and represent the company to towns and cities considering shared micromobility services.

Lead pre-tender and tender work to position the organisation as the partner of choice, and manage commercial and contractual negotiations with cities, balancing regulatory expectations with financial objectives.

Own city-level P&Ls, developing a clear understanding of the key drivers of financial performance in each market, and leverage data, analytics and market research to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and growth.

Collaborate closely with local policy and operations teams, as well as central growth and product teams, on pricing and product strategy to optimise for growth and profitability while supporting the goals of city stakeholders.

Provide structured feedback between local markets and central teams to continuously improve playbooks, processes and frameworks.

Market Development Experience Required

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience managing complex cross-functional projects, balancing multiple diverging stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.
