I am working with a globally renowned creative studio operating at the intersection of advertising, immersive experience, and entertainment, known for pushing the boundaries of storytelling through world‑class craft and emerging technology, to find their next Marketing Director.

As the industry undergoes rapid disruption, my client is looking for a visionary leader to head marketing, PR, and communications for their Advertising and Immersive divisions during an exciting period of business transformation.

This is a strategic leadership role for someone who deeply understands the marketing, brand, media and entertainment landscape, and who can articulate why the industry is being reshaped right now, not just respond to it.

You’ll define the marketing and communications strategy, sharpen core messaging, and ensure it cuts through to clients in a crowded and fast‑changing market.

You’ll lead a small team across London and the US and work closely alongside the wider marketing division to ensure synergy across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Director Strategic Leadership & Positioning — Drive the strategic marketing and communications approach supporting the business’s ongoing transformation.

Anticipate and shape client perceptions of the company’s creative product and its innovative use of technology, including AI and other emerging tools.

Team Management & Development — Lead the Advertising and Immersive marketing team, providing clear direction and alignment across all global sites.

Brand & Communications Strategy — Direct PR, communications and social strategy, ensuring messaging builds brand awareness, highlights market differentiation and stays true to the brand’s tone of voice.

Contemporary Relevance — Stay ahead of how communication and social media actually work today: platform‑native content, current social cadence and language and the shifting landscape of search, including SEO and emerging GEO/AI search behaviours.

Stakeholder Engagement — Act as a highly credible, confident communicator with senior internal leadership, journalists, publications and external partners.

Represent the business with genuine presence at industry events; comfortable presenting and being a visible ambassador for the brand.

Cross‑Departmental Collaboration — Partner with the wider marketing team and other departments to ensure cohesive internal communications, support recruitment activity and evaluate major industry opportunities such as talks, panels and speaking engagements.

About You Proven senior experience in a strategic marketing role, ideally within a communications, media or digital agency, or similar creative/entertainment business.

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create and oversee compelling copy, press releases and marketing materials.

A demonstrated feel for what resonates with diverse online audiences, and fluency in current social and cultural trends.

Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and creative problem‑solving skills.

An entrepreneurial, independent operator who doesn’t need hand‑holding, but who is collaborative, open to ideas and energising to work with.
