An award-winning communications agency is seeking an Account Manager to join its growing Health practice. Launched in 2018, this specialist team has quickly become a trusted partner for clients at the cutting edge of health tech, pharma, diagnostics, women's health, pharmacy and eyecare. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact campaigns and building trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders and media.
Key Responsibilities – Health Communications Account Manager
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Support strategy development through research, competitor analysis, stakeholder mapping, and trend monitoring.
- Contribute to fully integrated communications campaigns spanning product launches, advocacy, and reputation management.
- Draft and edit compelling content for multiple audiences, from press releases to thought leadership and social copy.
- Build and maintain strong media relationships, securing coverage across healthcare and consumer outlets.
- Oversee budgets, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Mentor junior colleagues, fostering their growth and development.
- Track and evaluate campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations.
Skills and Experience
- We're looking for a proactive and ambitious communicator who is passionate about health and wellbeing, with experience across health tech, pharma, or consumer health.
- A confident writer, able to translate complex scientific topics into clear, engaging messages.
- Media-savvy, with proven success in pitching stories and securing coverage.
- A black book of media contacts in the health, wellbeing and pharma space.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, ensuring delivery of compliant, high-quality work.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys building relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- A scientific background and knowledge of relevant codes (e.g. ABPI, PAGB, EFPIA) would be an advantage, though not essential.
