We are seeking an Account Manager to join our client, one of London’s top integrated communications agencies, focusing on healthcare comms and public affairs. As part of the Health team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving client satisfaction and delivering impactful campaigns. You'll be the primary point of contact for clients, leading meetings and correspondence while utilising your expertise to provide strategic recommendations. Project management will be a key aspect, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of high-quality work. Additionally, you'll contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities with existing clients and supporting new business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, facilitating face-to-face meetings and email communication.
- Provide insightful recommendations based on understanding of client business and healthcare landscape.
- Lead delivery of high-quality work, including drafting policy reports, organising advisory boards, coordinating meetings, developing media engagement plans, stakeholder mapping, and environmental monitoring.
- Manage client programs ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery of work.
- Collaborate within matrix teams, offering guidance to junior colleagues and leveraging support from senior team members.
- Conduct weekly project management meetings and oversee financial aspects, including fee reconciliation and cost management.
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients.
- Contribute to new business initiatives, including networking, research, strategy development, and RFP responses.
Key Requirements:
- Have relevant experience in a healthcare agency with a focus on one or more of our core specialisms: policy and government affairs, communications, and advocacy.
- Have experience of working with the pharmaceutical industry, including an understanding of their operating environment, commercial priorities, and regulatory landscape.
- Have experience of leading delivery of client projects and project management.
- Have a good understanding of the healthcare landscape from a policy, communications, and/or advocacy perspective, either in a country (e.g. the UK) or at multi-market/global level, as well as a good network and connects within the healthcare ecosystem.
- Have expert knowledge of and connectivity within the health policy ecosystem.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to tell a clear story in writing including through PowerPoint and Word.
- Have the confidence and presence to work closely with clients, interpret their needs and deliver work they will love.
- Have a proactive approach, growth mindset, ability to work at pace, commitment to excellence and a focus on action to drive programmes of work forward.
