The predicted salary is between 20400 - 24000 £ per year.

We are working with a SEN school specialising in Autism and catering for pupils in both Primary and Secondary ages. The roles can be with any ages and involve supporting pupils on the spectrum to learn, engage and socialise.

Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day (subject to experience and qualifications). This role is full-time and during school hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • To plan and deliver learning activities to children and young people, differentiating, modifying and using specialist activities and approaches according to children or young people's responses/needs.
  • To support students with ASD to fulfil their academic potential.
  • To support all pupils, and particularly those with ASD to play a full role in the life of the school, building their confidence and self-esteem.
  • To be involved in keeping records and evaluating identified students' progress.
  • To assist with the development and implementation of support plans.
  • To prepare students beforehand for a task, e.g. pre-teaching.
  • To supervise practical tasks.
  • To carry out structured classroom assessment/observation and feedback outcomes.
  • Assist scholars with physical needs.
  • Under the direction of appropriate professionals and after adequate training, to assist in meeting particular scholars' needs, e.g. physical development, speech/language development, and medical needs identified in an approved care plan agreed by parents.

Qualifications & attributes:

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or Equivalent qualifications in areas of SEN, Autism, Social Care.
  • A strong academic or work background with Special Educational Needs.
