We are currently recruiting a highly experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school supporting a Year 1 pupil on a one-to-one basis. This is a rewarding role for a skilled Teaching Assistant who is confident providing targeted support both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil
  • Support the child within the mainstream classroom
  • Deliver one-to-one interventions outside the classroom
  • Help manage behaviour positively and consistently
  • Support the pupil's learning, engagement and academic progress

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has strong experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Is confident working one-to-one with primary-aged pupils
  • Has good behaviour management skills
  • Is patient, consistent and nurturing
  • Can work closely with the class teacher and SEN team

Job Details

  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Standard school hours
  • Setting: Mainstream Primary School
