Are you a social care worker or residential support worker looking to transition into a rewarding, school-based role? We are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work on a full-time basis in schools across Bristol and its surrounding areas, supporting children and young people with complex needs. The role will involve supporting students who have physical disabilities and is ideal for those with experience in care settings, particularly supporting individuals with disabilities, mobility needs, or behavioural challenges. As a teaching assistant, you'll be making a real difference to pupils' learning, independence, and daily school life.

Responsibilities in this teaching assistant role include:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in lessons and around the school
  • Helping students stay focused and engaged in their learning
  • Promoting inclusion, independence, and emotional well-being
  • Working alongside teaching staff and therapists to deliver consistent support
  • Calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children and young people
  • A good level of written and spoken English is essential
  • Passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential in an educational setting

Weekly pay, term-time only working (typically 8:00am-3:30/4:00pm), placements in both mainstream and special schools across Bristol and surrounding areas.
