We are currently recruiting a highly experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school supporting a Year 1 pupil on a one-to-one basis. This is a rewarding role for a skilled Teaching Assistant who is confident providing targeted support both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil
- Support the child within the mainstream classroom
- Deliver one-to-one interventions outside the classroom
- Help manage behaviour positively and consistently
- Support the pupil's learning, engagement and academic progress
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has strong experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
- Is confident working one-to-one with primary-aged pupils
- Has good behaviour management skills
- Is patient, consistent and nurturing
- Can work closely with the class teacher and SEN team
