Teaching Assistant with Games and Esports Experience
Have you got experience in Esports and designing computer games, alongside a passion for working with young people? We are currently partnering with a Bristol college which is looking for charismatic, proactive, and engaging teaching assistants from a background in game designing to work in this further education setting on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your talent and creativity in a school setting helping children not only with their learning but also with their social-emotional development (SEL). This college is a media college; therefore, you will support the students in Esport and game development lessons as well as in other lessons such as music and art.
Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day (subject to experience and qualifications). This role is full-time during school hours, term-time only.
Responsibilities include:
- To support students in Esport and game development lessons as well as in other subjects.
- To plan and deliver learning activities to children and young people, differentiating, modifying and using specialist activities and approaches according to children or young people's responses/needs.
- To support all students, and particularly those with SEN to play a full role in the life of the school, building their confidence and self-esteem.
Qualifications & attributes:
- A background in Esport and/or game development is desirable.
- Confidence and a warm, outgoing personality.
- A desire to support young people in both academic and SEN areas.
- Experience working with children or young people (formal or informal).
