Hanson Recruitment is looking to recruit care workers with care experience to work with children/young people/adults with Autism and/or Physical Disabilities in schools. We work with various special educational needs schools in the area that cater for pupils with both Autism and Physical Disabilities, and they are in need of bank staff or care workers starting asap.

We are actively recruiting care worker/support workers to offer them temporary SEN Teaching Assistant roles in these settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing dedicated physical intimate care and emotional support to individual pupils
  • Supporting the students' academic progress and development
  • Collaborating with the classroom teacher and other staff members to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment for this pupil
  • Assisting with the student's behaviour management and social-emotional development and enabling them to adjust to the school and integrate to the best of their abilities
  • Following all school behaviour, safeguarding and Health and Safety policies

Qualifications & attributes:

  • Experience working as a care worker with Autism & Disabilities in care or school settings.
  • Good understanding of communicating with individuals on the spectrum
  • The ability to support personal care needs, such as changing, feeding
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work between 8:30am to 3:30pm during the week term-time only

You will be able to work flexible days around your studies/other commitments and can change your availability week by week. Rates of pay start from £80 GBP per day and get paid weekly.
