We are currently recruiting a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in BS4, near Brislington.

This Teaching Assistant role involves working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with additional needs within a mainstream primary school. The successful Teaching Assistant will play an important role in helping the pupil access learning, build confidence, and feel supported in the classroom.

The Teaching Assistant Role

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support as a Teaching Assistant for a pupil with special educational needs
  • Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing as a classroom Teaching Assistant

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have

  • Strong previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting children with SEN
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach in their role as a Teaching Assistant
  • The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
