Hanson Recruitment is working with a large number of schools across the South-West which require teachers, teaching assistants and cover supervisors. We are currently partnering with a specialist SEN school in Bristol which is seeking a dedicated and resilient Intervention Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis on Mondays-Thursdays.

The role is based in a specialist SEN school catering for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and will primarily involve delivering targeted intervention sessions designed to boost GCSE outcomes. This will predominantly be with Year 11 pupils in small groups or 1:1 settings.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced teacher or a skilled intervention specialist who is passionate about helping young people achieve meaningful qualifications and next-step opportunities. This role is part-time during school hours, term-time only.

  • Provide focused support to raise attainment in GCSE Maths and English
  • Track pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly
  • Work closely with the wider teaching and pastoral team to support pupils holistically
  • Has experience teaching Maths and/or English to GCSE level
  • Has experience working with pupils with SEMH needs

Top rates of pay. We pay PAYE to all our candidates. Ongoing support at all aspects of your role as a SEN teaching assistant. Term-time work during weekdays. Ability to take time-off during exam/holiday periods. Dedicated education consultant support. One to one training session could be provided before you start your role by our SEN consultants with over a decade experience in SEN and Education Recruitment.
