Hanson Recruitment is working with reputable SEN schools in North Bristol. We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who share our and our school's mission of empowering SEMH pupils to lead lives full of choice and opportunity. We are currently looking for a special needs teacher with a passion for SEN to work at the beginning of the next academic year (September 2025). The SEN teacher role is full-time and may become permanent after an initial period of successful outcomes for pupils.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a keen interest in teaching pupils of a variety of ages with additional needs and puts emphasis on project-based and experiential learning. We are looking for a passionate and innovative teacher who has a genuine passion for SEN and is flexible and innovative in their approach to teaching, communicating and can be self-reflective. Someone ideally with a proven track record of making a difference to pupils and school/s they worked with in terms of the quality of learning and relationships they created. A team player who can think on their feet, but also take guidance and be really on the same journey as the rest of the staff.
Pay Rate: £125 - £160 per day (subject to experience and qualifications). This is a full-time role Monday to Friday during school hours.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy for pupils with a history of long absence from school
