The HS2 Project Coordinator will support the delivery of the HS2 project, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient logistics planning, accurate order processing and effective project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Order Management – Manage customer enquiries via telephone and email, build strong relationships, process and confirm orders in SAP Order Management, minimize billing queries, investigate and resolve customer queries, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and escalates service issues as required.
- Planning & Logistics Coordination – Coordinate vehicle allocation and distribution across HS2 sites, monitor transport operations, optimise vehicle utilisation, maintain relationships with drivers and hauliers, manage hired vehicle costs, monitor vehicle performance, and generate reports for logistics improvements.
- Commercial & Administrative Support – Complete administrative tasks within deadlines, follow up on quotations, update commercial trackers, support lead generation, liaise with regional teams on product availability, and manage complaints through company systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Previous planning, logistics or coordination experience.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Highly motivated, proactive and organised approach.
- Experience in a customer service, sales, operations or transport environment.
- Strong administrative and multitasking abilities.
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of the construction industry and materials.
- Understanding of local and national geography.
- Experience using SAP for sales and order management.
- Experience with Synchro TESS or similar logistics planning systems.
- Experience working within a large corporate environment.
- Track record of achieving performance targets.
