We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive, and safety-driven Batching Plant Operative to join our team.

You’ll play a vital role in producing high-quality concrete and mortar, maintaining an excellent site environment, and delivering great customer service.

Currently operating as a one-person site, this role is perfect for someone confident working independently, organised, and ready to take pride in keeping the plant running efficiently and safely.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Production & Customer Service
  • Work closely with the Order Office, plant team, and customers to ensure all concrete/mortar is produced to exact requirements.

Deliver excellent service and maintain strong communication across the site.

  • Plant Operation & Maintenance
  • Operate the batching plant and Front-End Loader (FEL) safely and effectively.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of all plant mechanisms, buildings, equipment, and facilities.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained through daily visual checks and weekly stock assessments.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times.
  • Ensure all staff, contractors, and visitors comply with site safety rules.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies, including proper waste, water, and dust management.
  • Report any defects, hazards, or issues that may impact safety, quality, or operational performance.
  • Environmental & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Comply with all environmental procedures and company policies.
  • Support fraud prevention and adhere to Group and Regional administrative guidelines.
  • Keep knowledge and training up to date to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • General Site Responsibilities
  • Ensure the site makes a strong first impression through excellent presentation.
  • Perform any additional duties required by management as part of the smooth running of the operation.

  • Experience using a Front-End Loader (essential)
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
