We are looking for a dependable Class 2 HGV Driver who takes pride in maintaining high standards, delivering exceptional customer service, and operating safely every day.

About the Role

As an HGV Driver, you will play a key role in supporting our regional logistics operation, ensuring customers receive their deliveries in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.

You will be responsible for representing Heidelberg Materials on the road, maintaining compliance with all transport regulations, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Heidelberg Materials products safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Ensure vehicles and associated equipment are maintained to a high standard and kept clean and roadworthy.
  • Complete all vehicle inspections, records, and documentation accurately in line with legislative and company requirements.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies, Working Time Directive regulations, Road Transport legislation, and company procedures.
  • Ensure environmental standards are maintained, including compliance with procedures relating to waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional ambassador for Heidelberg Materials.
  • Work closely with operational teams to support business and customer requirements.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by management to support the successful running of the operation.

What We're Looking For

  • LGV Class 2 Licence.
  • Category C Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Licence.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety and transport compliance requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
