We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer focused Internal Sales Executive / Customer Service Sales Agent to join our team at Hanson Plywood, a privately owned importer and distributor of responsibly sourced wood based panel products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a helpful approach to customer interactions, and a strong team oriented mindset. Whilst not essential, experience or familiarity with sheet materials or wood based panel products would be advantageous and will support your success in the role.

Working as an Internal Sales Executive / Customer Service Sales Agent you will support the business in assisting our customers with general enquiries, product information, quotations and orders using email or phone. As an Internal Sales Executive / Customer Service Sales Agent you will need to be personable and helpful, going that extra mile to support your customers whilst working in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.

We offer a comprehensive range of products including various types of plywood, OSB, MDF, HDF, hardboard, chipboard, blockboard, timber panels, door blanks, flexible panels, and decorative panels to commercial organisations. Our structure allows us to stay agile, value-focussed, and concentrated on building meaningful, lasting relationships across the business.
DUTIES
- Managing the Sales team inbox, handling incoming queries from our varied customer base, with precision in a timely manner
- Advising customers on product options, specifications and availability either on the phone or via email
- Preparing and processing quotes and sales orders on our custom-built system
- Supporting our Product Managers with purchasing activities and liaising with suppliers on queries
- Providing general administrative support within the office and with customers
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation in managing responsibilities, while remaining collaborative and team orientated
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Consistently presents a professional manner in appearance, language and behaviour
DESIRABLE
- Experience in internal sales, sales administration or a customer facing role
- Familiarity with wood / panel-based products
- Confident communication skills both with colleagues and customers
